Los Inmortales: how to play

Card duels: collect football's immortals and icons, build a squad of 7, and out-think your opponent in a four-quarter duel.

What kind of game is Los Inmortales?

A free football card game played in the browser. You build a 7-card squad (1 goalkeeper, 4 starters, 2 impact subs) from real players and football legends, then duel in a 5-a-side match played over four quarters. Matches are resolved by the same deterministic tactical engine as our manager games, so squad-building and in-match decisions decide the winner, never a coin flip.

What are the Inmortales cards and what do they do?

The gold cards are twelve immortals of football: Maradona, Pele, Cruyff, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Nazario, Beckenbauer, Yashin, Garrincha, Maldini, Matthaus and Di Stefano. Each has an aura that lifts teammates for the whole match, a signature move you choose when to play (once per duel), and often a human flaw. You may field at most two, so the craft is building the other five cards around what your legends amplify.

What do the keywords like Maestro and Muralla mean?

Keywords are the card game's rock-paper-scissors layer: a Maestro strengthens midfield, a Muralla is a defensive wall, a Rayo turbo-charges counter-attacks, a Poacher finishes better, and so on. Each keyword applies once per side (they do not stack) and each has a counter that blunts it, so reading the opponent's keywords matters as much as ratings.

How do I win a duel if the score is level?

Momentum decides level duels. You earn Momentum by creating more chances than the opponent in a quarter and by keeping clean quarters; a Capitan or Talisman card can swing it too. The Momentum score is shown at every break, so a smart manager plays the fourth quarter differently depending on whether they lead or trail the tie-breaker.

Is Los Inmortales free? Do I need an account?

Free play on La Escalera uses every card in the game with no sign-up: pick any 7 and climb the daily ladder. Signing in adds the collection game: earning Pesos, opening Sobres, crafting with Gloria and duelling other people. Pesos can never be bought with money, so neither can cards; there is no pay-to-win.

How do I get cards for my collection?

Open Sobres (card packs) in Mi Coleccion: 200 Pesos for 3 random cards, rolled server-side with published odds (8% for an Inmortal). Duplicates melt into Gloria, the crafting shards, which let you craft any specific card you are missing (80 for an Icono, 400 for an Inmortal). Every new account also gets a free 8-card starter set.

How do duels against other people work?

In Duelos you build a squad from cards you own, commit your tactics and a management approach, and share a challenge link. Your rival joins with their own collection squad and plays their break decisions live against your committed plan. The duel is deterministic from those inputs, so both of you see the identical match, blow for blow.

How do I earn Pesos playing Los Inmortales?

Beat the Daily Inmortal (a themed legend squad, the same worldwide each day) for 100 Pesos, once per day. Each ladder rung's first win of the day pays 30 Pesos, and the decks reshuffle daily. Pesos are shared across the whole site, so Daily Quiz wins and Amigos seasons feed the same wallet.

Step by step

  1. Pick a squad of 7 from your collection: exactly one goalkeeper, at most two Inmortales.
  2. Set your tactics (mentality, pressing, tempo) and kick off against the ladder.
  3. At each of the three quarter breaks, commit ONE action: signature move, substitution, or tactics change.
  4. Win on goals, or on Momentum if the score is level. Climb all ten rungs of the ladder.
