Free football manager games

El Niño Games has five free football-management games, all running on the same in-house match engine and hand-derived player ratings. In each you build a squad, choose a formation, eleven and tactics, and play out a full season. The engine decides matches from your side's attack, midfield and defence, adjusted by tactics, chemistry, fitness, form and home advantage.

The games split into two families. The Guvnor and World Championships are free drafts — you pick a squad from decades of real players and prove your team-building: The Guvnor across a 38-game league season against 19 AI clubs, World Championships as a knockout World Cup where one bad night ends your run. El Jefe and El Patron run a transfer-budget economy instead — every signing has a price and you buy and sell in the windows: El Jefe is a single season chasing an objective, while El Patron adds the passage of time on top, where players age and retire, you run a youth academy, and a club board judges you season after season across a long career. Amigos is the multiplayer one — the same draft-and-manage, but your rivals are real friends in a shared league.

Not sure where to start? The Guvnor is the purest draft-and-manage and the best first game; El Jefe adds wheeling and dealing on a budget; El Patron is the deepest, career-long challenge; and Amigos is the one to play with friends. Everything runs in the browser with no account required.
